The other day, my best friend came up to me in the morning before school.
"I've got something for you!" Being curious, I watched as she pulled a lump out of her bookbag wrapped in a blue notebook cover. She opened the notebook cover to reveal a tan colored little Prairie Dog stuffed animal.
"It reminded me of a wombat so I thought of you!"
**Inside Joke\thing that she's a Fruit bat and I'm a wombat.
The next night, I'm thinking about the prairie dog as I'm sitting on my bed, getting ready to go to sleep.
And I thought of something important-what's the purpose behind it?
One word: Love.
Now, most people think of love as being between two people-two men, two women, a man and woman. But what about the love between families? Or friends?
I believe there's many kinds of love. Each for each person in your life.
But I find that the love between siblings and friends-mostly your best friends-is the closest to each other.
My best friend is like a sister in how I feel about her, except this kind of love is different because it was a choice. Let’s face it- you were born into your family without choice. You didn’t know who you would love. Friends are like a family member you added to you network of family-made up of friends, and real family-that you chose. You chose to love them, and they chose to love you.
Isn’t that beautiful?
